The Gateway Agribusiness Development Foundation (GADF) is a Ghanaian non-profit organisation dedicated to improving livelihoods through sustainable agriculture, agribusiness development, climate-smart solutions, and community empowerment. GADF works alongside farmers, youth, women, agribusinesses, development partners, government agencies, and the private sector to create resilient agricultural systems that generate income, improve food security, and reduce poverty.
GADF believes agriculture is more than food production: it is a pathway to economic growth, employment creation, environmental sustainability, and stronger rural communities. Its programmes combine practical training, technical assistance, access to agricultural services, market development, workforce development, and climate action so that farmers and rural entrepreneurs can achieve lasting success.
By promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and inclusive participation, GADF helps transform smallholder farmers into successful agribusiness entrepreneurs while strengthening agricultural value chains across Ghana.
Our Programs and Activities
Farmer Training & Capacity Building
Knowledge is one of the most valuable resources a farmer can possess. GADF provides practical, hands-on training designed to improve agricultural productivity, profitability, and sustainability.
Training Areas
- Poultry production; pig farming; goat and sheep production; cattle management; fish farming; and crop production.
- Farm business management, agricultural entrepreneurship, financial literacy, farm record keeping, and cooperative development.
- Feed formulation, animal nutrition, biosecurity, disease prevention, and Good Agricultural Practices (GAP).
- Post-harvest handling, value addition, and agribusiness management.
